Monali Thakur finally responds to the sexual harassment claims made on her team

Monali Thakur, known for her hit song "Sawar Loo," has finally spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding her concert in Varanasi. The incident became the centre of attention when the event organisers accused Monali's manager of sexually assaulting one of their team members while allegedly intoxicated.

The accusations created a significant stir, prompting Monali to address the matter publicly. She has since clarified her stance, emphasising the importance of both support for her team and accountability in such serious allegations.

Monali Thakur took to her Instagram, sharing a two-page statement in which she stood by her earlier claims that the concert in Varanasi was one of the most poorly organised events she had ever participated in.

In the third image she shared, she included a note from the organisers themselves, which acknowledged that the entire debacle was their responsibility and that they alone were to blame for the incident.

On the night of 22nd December, playback singer Monali Thakur was scheduled to perform at a concert in Varanasi. However, she decided to abruptly end the show and walk off the stage, citing the poorly arranged stage setup as the reason she could not continue performing.

She accused the organisers of being "irresponsible and unethical" for neglecting the safety and comfort of both the performers and the audience. Monali explained that the stage was improperly set up, which posed a risk of ankle injury as she performed alongside her dancers.

Organisers of Monali Thakur's Varanasi concert, issue video statement

In their response, Back Room Entertainment, the organisers of the concert, uploaded a video statement denying all of Monali Thakur’s allegations. They strongly rejected the accusations and instead accused Monali and her team of harassment, claiming they were deliberately attempting to tarnish the organisers' reputation. The organisers described her comments as baseless and reaffirmed their dedication to providing a professional platform for artists.

In the video, The three-member team from Back Room Entertainment came forward to present their perspective on the events during the concert. They shared their account, providing clarity on the situation and defending their actions in response to the allegations made by Monali Thakur.
