BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim made heads turn once again at the Met Gala 2025, honouring the theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style in a bold, Chanel tuxedo gown that paid homage to the house’s iconic founder, Coco Chanel. Making her third consecutive appearance at the prestigious event, Jennie proved once more why she’s a global fashion powerhouse.
Jennie wore a black, sharply tailored gown that blended traditional tuxedo elements with haute couture finesse. The look also nodded to the rebellious elegance that Coco Chanel herself championed — a fitting tribute for the theme focused on reimagining classic European tailoring through the lens of Black creativity and identity.
The BLACKPINK singer was first spotted leaving The Carlyle Hotel, a Met Gala mainstay, before striking poses on the red carpet. There, she had a sweet moment with fellow fashion icon Gigi Hadid, both shared smiles and warm camaraderie in front of the flashing cameras.
Jennie’s appearance comes hot on the heels of her Coachella performance last month and the release of her solo debut album, Ruby, on March 7. She recorded much of Ruby in Los Angeles, consciously stepping out of her Seoul comfort zone to grow creatively.
Fans can expect more from Jennie soon — she and her BLACKPINK bandmates (Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa) are reuniting for a world tour this summer, with new music also in the pipeline.
