Mawra Hocane and Fawad Khan are Pakistani actors

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane has recently made headlines for her collaboration with Indian singer and composer Akhil Sachdeva for her debut music video. However, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan also created a buzz among fans after reports of his Bollywood comeback swirled around the internet.

However, there has been controversy over the actor’s comeback, with some politicians claiming to ban the film. Mawra, who starred in Sanam Teri Kasam, has recently addressed the matter.

During a recent interview with the Times of India, Mawra Hocane was asked about her thoughts on the backlash against Pakistani artists.

The actress said, “I don't take it personally. This is how the world works, right? I truly believe if it's meant to happen, it will. I block out the noise around my work. I love to do what I do, so I do not let these things affect me. It is truly the producer's headache — which is sad — but it is their problem. If I invest my mind into thinking, 'Oh, what's going to happen,' I will always be restless."

However, the actress also reflected on whether she had contacted Fawad following the backlash. She said, “When my colleagues do well, we definitely reach out to each other. We wish each other luck. I truly wish the best for everyone. I hope this film does really well."

Fawad Khan is gearing up for his upcoming romantic drama, Abir Gulal. The actor will star alongside Vaani Kapoor. The upcoming film will mark his return to Indian cinema after a six-year hiatus.

The film, directed by Aarti S Bagdi, features an ensemble cast, including Riddhi Dogra and Lisa Haydon. Backed by Vivek B. Agarwal, the film is set to hit theaters on May 9.
