Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have been making headlines after reports of their breakup surfaced earlier this year. Arjun Kapoor seemingly confirmed the split during the promotions of Singham Again, where he candidly told a paparazzo, “Nahin ab main single hoon, relax karo” (No, I am now single. Relax). This statement added fuel to the rumors about the end of their long-term relationship.
Reacting to Arjun's comments, Malaika Arora addressed the situation diplomatically. In an interview with ETimes, she stated, “I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative.” While Malaika refrained from sharing details, her response suggested a respectful stance toward Arjun’s decision to speak publicly about the breakup.
Interestingly, recent reports hint at the possibility of the former couple reuniting at an AJIYO LUXE event. However, neither Malaika nor Arjun has confirmed these speculations, leaving fans and media buzzing about their current relationship status.

Beyond the breakup buzz, Malaika has been vocal about her thoughts on financial independence and individuality in relationships. Speaking to Curly Tales, she emphasised the importance of maintaining separate finances, even in marriage. “Independent rakho baba (Be independent). Jo tera hai woh tera hai, jo mera hai woh mera hai (What’s yours is yours, and what’s mine is mine),” she said. Malaika highlighted the significance of preserving one’s identity, stating, “It’s good that you’re doing things together, but that doesn’t mean you give up your entire identity.”
She further pointed out that while women often take on their partner’s last name, they should at least retain control over their bank accounts.
