Tollywood is abuzz as Bharati Ghattamaneni—the daughter of the late Ramesh Babu and niece of superstar Mahesh Babu—prepares to step into the spotlight with her first film, directed by seasoned filmmaker Teja. Known for launching stars like Kajal Aggarwal and Nithiin, Teja is backing Bharati for a "lover-girl" role in a project supported wholeheartedly by both her family and Mahesh Babu himself.
Sources revealed to Deccan Chronicle that Bharati has already completed look tests and attended acting workshops in preparation for the role. Her graceful dance performance to her uncle’s chartbuster "Kurichi Madathapetti" on Instagram went viral and reportedly helped secure her casting.
Interestingly, this upcoming debut is not the only one from the Ghattamaneni family. Bharati’s brother, Jayakrishna Ghattamaneni, is also gearing up to make his cinematic debut under director Ajay Bhupathi, known for hits like RX100 and Mangalavaaram.
The near-simultaneous debuts of both siblings are a rare occurrence in Tollywood and have been warmly received by their family. Mahesh Babu’s ongoing support for his brother’s legacy, dating back to the production of Arjun, adds emotional weight to this upcoming chapter.
Meanwhile, Teja is also working on a new-age socio-fantasy thriller, marking the acting debut of his son Amitov. With fresh faces and a new pair at center stage, the film promises a unique and engaging romantic narrative.
