The makers of the social thriller Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, have decided to postpone the film’s pre-release event following the tragic Air India plane crash that occurred on Thursday in Ahmedabad.
This decision was taken as a mark of respect for the victims and their families. Fans eagerly awaiting the event can note that the new date for the pre-release function has now been announced.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa is a pan-India project featuring Dhanush alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
The film delves into the gripping tale of a beggar’s transformation, tackling profound themes such as greed, morality, and ambition. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 20 June 2025, the movie has already generated significant buzz.
Sharing the update on Instagram, the makers posted a joint statement informing fans that the pre-release event has been rescheduled to Sunday, 15 June 2025. The caption reads:
“As a mark of respect for the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, the pre-release event of #Kuberaa has been rescheduled to June 15th (Sunday) at the same venue and time. All existing passes remain valid. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Team #ShreyasMedia.”
