Following the tragic Air India crash that happened Thursday morning close to Ahmedabad airport, Bollywood's biggest stars have expressed their profound sadness.

A few minutes after takeoff, Flight #AI171, which was headed to London, tragically lost a number of people. Shortly after taking off from runway 23 at 1:39 pm, the aircraft, which was carrying 242 passengers and crew members, went down.

Salman Khan responded to the tragic incident by posting a moving message on Instagram, joining the national outpouring of grief.

The superstar wrote in his story, “Deeply saddened to hear about the Ahmedabad plane crash…Heartfelt prayers for the families of the passengers, crew and all those affected.” His message reflected the sentiments of millions who have been left stunned by the scale of the tragedy.

Numerous well-known personalities from the entertainment industry have come forward with their condolences and prayers in response to the tragedy, which has rocked the nation.

As emergency personnel raced to the scene of the collision, images revealed smoke plumes and debris strewn all over the place. One of the deadliest aviation catastrophes to strike India in recent decades is this tragic loss.
