42-year-old Chinese singer-composer Hu Yanbin aka Tiger Hu and 26-year-old actress-influencer Yi Mengling are making headlines for their Maldives getaway.
The veteran musician, who previously dated actress Zheng Shuang, with whom he shared a nine-year age difference, was recently photographed enjoying an intimate beach date with Yi Mengling. In the images circulating online, Tiger Hu and Yi Mengling were seen kissing, cuddling, and even pressing their cheeks together for photos, appearing completely at ease in each other’s company. The footage reportedly shows the pair walking hand-in-hand, embracing, and sharing a kiss on a Maldives beach.
After the video began circulating, Yi Mengling told the media she believed the “beach video” was “AI-generated”. However, within 24 hours, new sightings appeared at the Maldives airport. Eyewitnesses reportedly claimed to see Hu Yanbin and Yi Mengling together, walking through security, interacting with fans, and entering the lounge in each other’s company. According to reports, Hu Yanbin even urged onlookers, “Post it on social media, let them know it’s not AI.”
Later Hu Yanbin took to his fan group chat and social media to address the swirling speculations. He apologised to fans for the turmoil, saying, “I’m deeply sorry you’ve had to bear so much.”
He added that although he had “never intended to hide anything,” he believed he had “no obligation to report personal relationships to the world.” He struck a defiant note with, “You made me and you can destroy me.
Yi Mengling, who first rose to popularity as a social media influencer, has since expanded her career into acting, including stage productions. Known for her striking visuals and massive online following across Weibo, Instagram, and other platforms, she has amassed millions of loyal fans who closely follow her moves.
Another video that surfaced showed the pair surrounded by onlookers snapping pictures, with Tiger Hu wearing the same cap featured in the earlier beach photos.
Despite the growing online buzz, neither Tiger Hu nor Yi Mengling has issued an official statement confirming or denying the relationship. For now, their Maldives moments remain the strongest hint at a new high-profile romance brewing in C-entertainment.
