Lovely Runner actor Song Geon Hee is officially set to begin his mandatory military service next month.

On November 24, reports surfaced announcing the actor’s enlistment plans. His agency JG Entertainment later confirmed the news, stating, “Song Geon Hee will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on December 1.”

Following his enlistment, the 27-year-old will undergo basic training before continuing his service as an active-duty soldier. His expected discharge date is May 2027.

Born in 1997, Song Geon Hee made his acting debut in 2017 with the web drama Flat. Over the years, he has steadily built a strong portfolio with roles in popular dramas such as My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, SKY Castle, Moment of Eighteen, Lovely Runner, Arthdal Chronicles, The Tale of Nokdu, Mystic Pop-up Bar, Snowdrop, Joseon Attorney and a cameo in Family by Choice. In 2022, he did a film A Christmas Carol, and Family by Choice. In 2022, he did a film titled A Christmas Carol.
