KATSEYE members Megan and Yoonchae have opened up about their early misunderstandings, and admitted that they had several arguments both before and after debut.

The duo revealed the details during a recent live stream, surprising fans with their honesty and humour while reflecting on their trainee days.

During the broadcast, the two joked about the long-standing rumours of “beef” between them.

Megan explained that during The Dream Academy, Yoonchae often spoke to her more than others, but things shifted as training intensified.

Megan admitted she began acting 'like a b*tch,' taking full responsibility and acknowledging that she was overwhelmed and stressed at the time.

The tension reportedly grew while the group was preparing for Debut, with Yoonchae deciding to confront Megan directly. Recalling the conversation, Megan shared how Yoonchae approached her and gently asked, “Megan, are you mad at me?” To which Megan insisted she wasn’t — though she now laughs at how irritated she used to feel.

Yoonchae admitted that small things she did would unintentionally aggravate Megan, while Megan clarified that her frustration came from unrelated pressures and stress. Fellow member Sophia also got caught in the middle, as Yoonchae confided in her, making Megan feel guilty in hindsight.

Despite the rocky moments, both members emphasised that their disagreements never escalated physically. Instead, the arguments “came in waves,” ultimately helping them understand each other better. They joked that their fights actually brought them closer, as they learned how to communicate and work through conflicts maturely.

Megan and Yoonchae concluded by assuring fans that they haven’t had any major issues “in a while,” and that KATSEYE as a group now handles misunderstandings openly and calmly.
