It’s almost time to raise a toast — and perhaps a spoon — as Bon Appetit, Your Majesty returns with Episodes 11 and 12, the finale for this season.
As it approaches its climax, the K-drama that has successfully woven romance, fantasy, and food together promises not only new recipes but also greater stakes, more treachery, and more heartache.
So far, the story has been deliciously captivating. After winning a culinary competition, a contemporary chef opens a mysterious book in midair and finds herself in the Joseon period.
There, she runs into a king who is feared for his cruelty but is tempered by his love of food. He kidnaps her and threatens to kill her unless she cooks a new dish every day. What follows is a slow-burn romance, where modern flavours meet ancient ingredients, and where simmering political plots rival the heat of the royal kitchen.
Episoded 11 and 12 will stream this weekend on Saturday, 27 September, and Sunday, 28 September, 2025 respectively.
As the final chapters approach, the danger intensifies. The treacherous Prince Jesan and a scheming consort now take their attacks beyond whispers, physically threatening the couple.
The dowager queen advances her designs to dethrone the king and control the young prince as her puppet. Meanwhile, the chef must face the question she has feared all along: will she ever return to her own time? And if she does, can love find her across centuries?
Inspired loosely by Park Guk Jae’s novel Surviving as Yeonsangun’s Chef, the series combines history, fantasy, and a gourmand’s love for flavour. Lee Chae-min’s unpredictable king and Lim Yoon-a’s spirited chef carry the romance, while Kang Han-na’s elegant menace and Choi Gwi-hwa’s sly Prince Jesan raise the stakes. The kitchen, too, has been a battlefield — sabotage, alliances, and respect won one dish at a time.

And then there are the moments that make hearts race. Who could forget the scene in the grotto, where the weary king tastes her cure for drunkenness, draws her close, and whispers, “Stay with me for a while…” — the sort of line that makes viewers sigh into their snacks.
With whispers of a Joseon-versus-Ming cook-off and the noose tightening around the throne, Bon Appetit, Your Majesty is shaping up to be more than just a drama. It’s a love letter to food, history, and romance — one last feast before the curtain falls.
