"I never do PR, and I have always been very resistant to PR, with the promotion. It was just the PR machinery that kind of happened for Taapsee, especially. Because Taapsee was after Mr. Bachchan in that, and it just became Taapsee's film in terms of the positioning. And I understood slowly even after that this is all a positioning game, which is very different from what you can do as an actor. So aapka aik acting game hai aur aapka aik PR game hai. And my PR game was zero. So that experience kind of shook me in terms of, Aisa bhi hota hai.

The anchor asked her, did it change relationships a bit?

To which Kirti said, "I think it did. Taapsee has been nice to me, but that whole PR game—I took it very personally."

In the interview, Kirti said that she initially saw the film as an equal story of three girls and never knew about the industry hierarchies. It was when she saw the first promo, which didn't feature, that she started questioning herself and thought, 'Where did I go wrong?"

"That was the first jhatka for me because I know what I have done in the film. Shoojit was like, ‘Don’t worry about it, let the film come out.’ I never do PR. I believe my work will eventually be seen,” Kirti said.

Kirti was recently seen in Badass Ravikumar. She has worked in many good films post-Pink and is a name to reckon with in the industry.
