According to Lee Jin Ho, Kim Sae Ron was secretly married to a Korean-American man residing in New York and faced significant personal struggles during her final months.

In January 2025, Kim Sae Ron reportedly uploaded a series of photos featuring a mystery man, accompanied by the caption “Marry.” The images, however, were swiftly deleted, leading to speculation about her marital status. At the time, her agency dismissed the rumors, stating that the photos were part of a concept shoot with a close friend.

However, new voice recordings between Kim Sae Ron and a former agency staff member have surfaced, allegedly confirming that she was indeed married. In the recording, the actress reportedly admitted, “Yes, we already did it,” when asked if she had a wedding ceremony. When pressed further about whether it was held in Korea, she allegedly responded, “Overseas.”

Relationship Struggles and Abuse Allegations

According to the leaked recordings, Kim Sae Ron had no initial plans to marry her boyfriend. She was reportedly preparing to break up with him but unexpectedly became pregnant. She later confirmed in the recordings, “No, I got an abortion. But because of that, we ended up getting married.” She also mentioned that her husband had a bad temper and “kept subtly threatening me about it. He’s kinda insane.”

Further claims suggest that her husband was a non-celebrity office worker at a major corporation in New York. He allegedly became controlling when drunk, monitored her social media accounts, and even forced her to delete KakaoTalk and use Telegram for communication. Reports state that her parents were aware of the situation but supported her husband’s actions.
