The ongoing drama between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has taken another turn, this time involving their daughter, North West. A new track released by Kanye, featuring North’s vocals alongside Diddy and Christian Combs, has sparked a heated dispute between the former couple. Kim is reportedly furious about her daughter being involved in a song linked to Diddy, who is currently facing multiple legal troubles.
Kim Kardashian has trademarked North West’s name, a move that Kanye did not take lightly. According to reports, Kim had sent legal paperwork to Kanye, instructing him not to involve North in any projects without her consent. However, Kanye ignored the warning and included his daughter’s voice in his latest track, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine.
In a now-deleted social media post, Kanye lashed out at Kim for trademarking their daughter’s name, accusing her of trying to control everything.
Kim, however, clarified that the trademark was meant to protect their children’s interests, ensuring that they would have full ownership of their names when they turn 18. This disagreement escalated further when Kanye allegedly responded with threats, saying, “Amend it or I’m going to war,” and even declaring, “You’re going to have to kill me.”
Upon learning about North’s inclusion in the song, Kim Kardashian attempted to block the track’s release but was unsuccessful. She even filed a cease and desist order and sought emergency mediation with Kanye and a judge. However, Kanye reportedly did not attend, and the song was released regardless.
Kim is particularly concerned about North being associated with Diddy, who is currently entangled in serious legal controversies, including allegations of sex trafficking, assault, and racketeering. Sources close to Kim state that her primary focus is protecting North from being involved in Kanye’s controversies and Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles.
Despite the backlash, Kanye West has openly supported Diddy. Earlier, he had made public statements calling for “Free Puff” and even urged former U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene in Diddy’s legal situation. Now, in his new track, Kanye has included a voice that sounds similar to Diddy’s, making a statement about their continued bond.
In the track, North delivers a rap line: “When you see me shining, then you see the light.” Christian “King” Combs also contributes a verse, alongside Chicago-based artist Jasmine Williams. Kanye’s decision to feature North in the song without Kim’s consent has only intensified their co-parenting tensions.
