Khushi Kapoor, who is currently making headlines for her film Nadaaniyan with Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan, has recently expressed her interest in exploring thriller and horror movies.
In a recent interview, Khushi shared her desire to take on a role that challenges her emotionally, saying that while she isn't looking for something completely horror, she would love to explore films with a slightly darker tone than what she has done so far.
While talking to Grazia India, Khushi mentioned, "I’ve always been curious to see what the process of a thriller-horror movie would look like; maybe not completely horror but something a bit darker than the movies I’ve done so far. It would be interesting to explore a slightly darker film. I like doing dramatic and emotional scenes, so I think it would be interesting to do a film that was heavier on those kinds of notes."
Khushi was recently seen alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan in the romantic comedy Nadaaniyan, which has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. Despite the film's lukewarm reception, the two have been subject to harsh criticism regarding their performances.
In response to the online trolling, Karan Johar, known for his candid remarks, stepped in to offer a reality check. At the trailer launch of his upcoming film Akaal on March 18, Johar was asked about the backlash surrounding Nadaaniyan and the criticism directed at the fresh pair of Ibrahim and Khushi. He took the opportunity to defend the newcomers and provide words of encouragement during this challenging time.
