The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 was packed with riveting trivia, lighthearted banter, and inspiring revelations. Hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, the show saw contestants Ujjwal Dutta, Ishan Ahmad, and Nidhi Amol Sahu taking the hot seat, with each showcasing their knowledge and unique life stories. Amidst the quiz game, Big B shared an intriguing anecdote about Ranbir Kapoor’s early career as an assistant director.
The episode began with Ujjwal Dutta from New Delhi, who humorously spoke about his “double dating” mishaps, admitting how he juggled conversations with multiple women. Big B playfully sympathized with his “duvidha” but humorously advised him to avoid situations that could escalate into conflict. Ujjwal utilized his lifelines wisely but ultimately quit at the Rs 12,50,000 question, taking home Rs 6,40,000.
Next, Ishan Ahmad, a sociology honors student from Kolkata, joined the game. He shared his dream of studying law at an Ivy League college, particularly Harvard. Ishan explained how holistic development, including academics, debates, sports, and leadership skills, plays a crucial role in achieving such aspirations. The contestant displayed sharp intellect and strategic thinking, securing Rs 6,40,000 before quitting. Big B praised Ishan’s ambition and encouraged him to continue striving for excellence.
The highlight of the episode came with Nidhi Amol Sahu from Wardha, Maharashtra. A homemaker and aspiring home baker, she showcased impressive confidence during her stint. Her Super Sawaal brought up Ranbir Kapoor’s debut film, Saawariya. This prompted Amitabh Bachchan to reminisce about working with Ranbir during Black, where the young actor served as an assistant director.
Big B revealed, “Ranbir Kapoor was an adbhut kalakaar even back then. He worked as an assistant director in Black and trained Ayesha Kapoor, the young actress who played Michelle. His dedication and talent were evident even then, which eventually led to his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Today, he’s one of the finest actors in the industry.”
