The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 brought a mix of emotions, humor, and inspiring moments as Partha Chatterjee, a primary school teacher from West Bengal, graced the hot seat.

The episode kicked off with Partha winning the Fastest Finger First round, moving host Amitabh Bachchan and the audience with his emotional reaction to making it to the coveted chair.

Partha shared heartwarming anecdotes from his life during the game. A self-proclaimed hygiene enthusiast, he revealed his Sunday cooking routine and playfully claimed his wife was less organized than him.

However, the tables turned when he asked Big B who, between him and his wife Jaya Bachchan, was more organized. Amitabh Bachchan immediately named Jaya, quipping, “Is that even a question?”

He humorously added that no husband would dare call his wife disorganized, prompting laughter from Partha and the audience. Partha quickly retracted his statement and joined in praising his wife.

The game began with the ₹10,000 question: “What type of creatures are greyhounds, mastiffs, and bull terriers?” Partha confidently answered Dogs and progressed smoothly. The ₹20,000 Super Sawaal followed: “Meghalaya shares its only international border with which country?” Partha correctly answered Bangladesh, earning the special power Dugnastraa.

As the game progressed, Partha impressed everyone with his knowledge and strategic use of lifelines. For the ₹80,000 question on West Bengal’s Yuvasree scheme, he utilized Dugnastraa to correctly identify the beneficiaries as unemployed youth. He advanced to ₹1,60,000 by correctly answering a question from the Mahabharata.

Partha’s emotional journey came to light when he revealed that he lost his father at the age of nine. Despite hardships, he overcame obstacles to build a better future for his family. He shared his intent to use the prize money for his son’s education and well-being.

The turning point came with the ₹25,00,000 question: “In the 20th century, which country was the first to introduce Value Added Tax (VAT)?” Partha used the Video Call A Friend lifeline and correctly answered France.

However, Partha decided to quit the game at the ₹50,00,000 question: “Anson Dorrance, born in

Mumbai, is the only India-born coach to win what in football?” Though he guessed Bundesliga, the correct answer was Women’s World Cup.

Partha took home ₹3,20,000, leaving with heartfelt gratitude and a celebratory call with his wife. The episode ended on a cheerful note, showcasing his resilience and Big B’s warmth as a host.
