Kashish Kapoor claims Rs 7 Lakh theft by cook, FIR registered in Mumbai

The Bigg Boss 18 star Kashish Kapoor recently talked about a terrifying incident involving her domestic help.

The TV personality claimed in a thorough video that was uploaded to her YouTube channel that her cook had physically abused her during the altercation in addition to stealing ₹7 lakh from her home.

Kashish filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Mumbai Amboli Police Station, according to a report by Mid-Day. She currently resides in Andheri West's New Ambivali Society, which is situated on Veera Desai Road. According to reports, the cook, Sachin Kumar Chaudhary, had been working in her house for the previous five months.

Kashish disclosed in her video that she had Rs 7 lakh in cash on hand at home, which she planned to deposit into her mother's account. She found the envelope with the money was empty when she checked her locker. She moved quickly, running out to stop her cook as he was about to leave the building.

"I confronted him and asked him to turn out his pockets. A wad of cash just flew out," she said, recalling the shocking moment. Things quickly turned violent.

"By the time I could pick up my phone, the next thing I know, I'm pinned against the wall. He told me, 'Don't do anything, don't tell anyone'," she recounted emotionally. "I'm in my own house, in my own hall, and I'm pinned against the wall. He's holding me down, saying, 'Don't call anybody, don't tell anybody'."

Despite the trauma, Kashish managed to stay composed. After briefly letting the cook go, she informed her building’s security but the accused managed to flee. She later devised a plan to lure him back to her flat, having already contacted the police. The cook was taken to the station, where he allegedly admitted to stealing only ₹50,000 — a claim Kashish strongly refutes.

The case is currently under investigation. However, authorities have yet to confirm whether Kashish will recover the stolen amount. She is presently in Singapore for professional commitments.
