Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films have unveiled their new project Naagzilla, which stars Kartik Aaryan as the previously unseen Ichadaari (shape-shifting) Naag, Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, setting out on an epic adventure.
Gautam Mehra is the writer and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the master of madness, is the director of this unique fantasy comedy.
On April 22, Dharma Productions shared the first motion picture look of the film on Instagram. As Kartik says in the announcement teaser, the caption read, "Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh leen, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! #NaagZilla - Naag lok ka pehla kaand… Funnn phailaane aa raha hai - Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand

Following their upcoming Valentine's Day release of Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, this is Kartik Aaryan's second partnership with Dharma Productions.
The movie, which is being produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, is expected to be a unique entertainment experience that combines fantasy, folklore, and pure fun.
Naagzilla, which will release in theatres on Nag Panchami on August 14, 2026, is expected to "charm" viewers nationwide with its peculiar universe.
Additionally, this is the first of many partnerships between Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, bringing two innovative forces together to produce new, genre-bending films.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which released in 2024 and became one of the highest grossing Bollywood films.
