Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on September 21 that the next-generation Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms would go into effect on Monday, the first day of Navratri, in a significant step toward Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Reflecting on the GST's journey, the Prime Minister recalled the difficulties that existed prior to 2017, when India's tax system was complicated by a number of levies, including excise, VAT, and octroi.

He also emphasised that the GST reform, which was introduced in 2017 following lengthy stakeholder and state consultations, was a historic step in ridding the country of these inefficiencies.

On the work front, Kartik has recently wrapped up his upcoming film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The upcoming film is produced by Karan Johar along with Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora.

Kartik and Ananya celebrated the wrap-up with heartfelt social media posts. They also shared a series of behind-the-scenes moments on their Instagram.

The film also stars Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta. The film promises to balance youthful romance and humour with the gravitas of veteran talent.
