Karan Johar talks about working with Kartik Aaryan, says, "looking forward to a great dostana"

Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Kartik Aaryan have recently teamed up to host the IIFA Awards 2025. The duo will also soon collaborate for Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. They seem to put their alleged feud aside for their upcoming project. However, Karan has recently reflected on the upcoming collaboration and shared his excitement.

During the latest appearance at the green carpet of the IIFA Awards 2025 on Saturday in Jaipur, Karan said, “Kartik and I are doing a movie together so it's only natural that we also host together…” The filmmaker added, “There's nothing. It's all in the past. We are looking forward to a great 'dostana' ahead.”

For the unaware, Kartik and Karan were slated to collaborate on Dostana 2 in 2019. The film was the sequel to the 2008 film. However, two years later, Dharma Productions announced that they would be recasting the movie, amid rumors of a fallout between Kartik and Karan.

Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are now teaming up again for a new romantic comedy, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The upcoming film is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously worked with Kartik on Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Karan will produce the film along with Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta. Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishore Arora of Namah Pictures will also serve as the producers.

On the work front, Kartik will soon share screen with actress Sreeleela in an yet-untitled upcoming movie. The film is set to be an addition to the Aashiqui franchise. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, the film is said to feature an intense love story.
