Actor Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar all set to host the 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA). The co-hosts were recently spotted rehearsing for their upcoming gig, which is scheduled to be held at the JECC (Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre) on March 9.
In the video, Karan and Kartik exchanged a playful comment with the actor announcing, “Bas Hogya… Bas Hogaya.” However, Karan responded, “Okay, but ye to buchta hai.” He added, “Give me the beat.” Karan then started rapping with Kartik.
However, Kartik has shared a video on his Instagram as the duo roasted each other while rehearsing their lines for hosting. The duo were seen taking a dig at each other over who is the real "royalty" of Indian cinema.
In the video, Karan said, "Royalty means something, Kartik. I am the emperor of Bollywood, not you." To which, Kartik responded, "if you are the emperor then I am the prince of Indian cinema." Karan further said, “Oh my god... tum aur royalty, asli royalty mein hoon.” Kartik then claps back taking a jab at the filmmaker's sudden physical transformation.
Kartik asked: "Aap itne patle kaisai huye ho, aesa lag raha hai kisi ne karan bhej diya hai and Johar baaki hai (How did you lose so much weight? It seems like someone has sent Karan while Johar is yet to join.).” The actor captioned his post, "K vs K #IIFA2025.”
The upcoming event is set to join by the well-known personalities of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others.
