At the grand slate announcement event by Amazon Prime Video, one project that instantly grabbed attention was Kuku Ki Kundali, marking the big-screen debut of Bhuvan Bam alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. While the film has already been generating buzz online with glimpses from its Lucknow shoot, it was Bhuvan’s heartfelt speech at the event that truly stood out.

Sharing the stage with industry heavyweights, Bhuvan opened up about his journey and the people who played a key role in shaping it. Reflecting on the moment, he said, “It’s surreal to be standing here, two of my most favorite mentors are here.” He then turned towards Karan Johar and recalled an early memory that stayed with him.

“I remember, a decade ago, we did fan fest together and I just requested you that sir I am doing ‘Titu Talks’ on stage in front of 10,000 people, will you be a part of it?” he said. What followed left a lasting impression on him. “And without any hesitation he agreed to do it and he actually came so we had to manage everything but he was such a sport.”

Bhuvan went on to explain how that one gesture built a long-term connection. “And since then, every decision I’ve take in life, I just text him once that ‘I’m gonna do this, please guide me’,” he added, highlighting the trust and mentorship he continues to receive.

He also expressed deep gratitude towards Nikhil Madhok, crediting him for a major turning point in his career. “And with Nikhil sir, it’s been one hell of a ride, my first ever show, he made it happen,” Bhuvan shared.

Backed by Dharma Productions, Kuku Ki Kundali represents a significant step for Bhuvan Bam as he transitions from digital stardom to mainstream cinema. With strong industry backing, a promising cast, and a story already creating curiosity, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated projects in the upcoming lineup.

What stood out most from the announcement, though, wasn’t just the film itself, but Bhuvan’s journey — from a digital creator seeking opportunities to sharing the stage with the very mentors who helped shape his path.
