Hombale Films is going all out with its next big release. The makers of Kantara Chapter 1 have announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on October 2, rolling out simultaneously in more than 30 countries.
The film, directed by Rishab Shetty, will open in key markets like the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and even regions like the Caribbean, Fiji, and Mauritius.
Closer home, it’s also reaching Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Basically, the studio isn’t leaving any corner untouched.
This push comes on the back of the original Kantara’s explosive run in 2022, which began as a regional sleeper hit and turned into a full-blown cultural phenomenon. The mix of folklore, faith, and rooted storytelling resonated deeply with Indian audiences and managed to pull in viewers overseas too. Hombale clearly wants to build on that momentum.
What makes this release even bigger is the language spread. Kantara Chapter 1 will premiere not just in Kannada but also Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English. The idea is simple, reach every possible audience while keeping the cultural essence intact.
Hombale Films, fresh off KGF’s monster success, seems intent on pushing boundaries yet again.
For fans, the wait is down to just weeks. If the buzz is anything to go by, Kantara Chapter 1 might create history worldwide.
