The eagerly anticipated prequel, which is scheduled for release on October 2, 2025, has officially concluded filming, raising expectations among viewers nationwide.

After its 2022 release, Kantara transformed from a sleeper hit in the region to a pan-India blockbuster, becoming a cinematic sensation. In addition to solidifying Hombale Films as a dominant production banner, which is also known for box office heavyweights like KGF and Salaar, the movie revolutionised narrative storytelling in Indian cinema.

The journey now goes back in time with Kantara: Chapter 1, revealing the beginnings of the myth that captivated millions of people.

The recently unveiled poster features Rishab Shetty in a powerful, legendary persona that has already started to generate discussion on the internet. The production company posted the poster on social media along with a note praising Shetty's commitment and inventiveness to mark the momentous occasion.

“Where legends are born and the call of the wild still echoes—Kantara returns with a story of divine beginnings,” read the official caption. They also extended birthday wishes to Shetty, calling him the driving force behind the saga.

The next movie promises both cinematic scale and narrative depth. Insiders claim that one of the most intricate war scenes in Indian cinema to date can be found in Kantara: Chapter 1.

Over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 spectators participated in the epic battle scene, which was filmed over 45 to 50 days in a specially constructed town spread across 25 acres of untamed terrain. To execute the sequence, Hombale Films worked with both domestic and foreign stunt teams, demonstrating their dedication to spectacle and narrative.

With Hombale Films' ambitious production values and Rishab Shetty once again taking the lead as both lead actor and creative visionary, Kantara: Chapter 1 is positioned to become a landmark film.

Titles like Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam are also on the studio's exciting slate, indicating that the production company will have a successful year.
