Abhishek Bachchan has sent his fans into a frenzy with the announcement of his new project. The actor will next be seen in the upcoming emotional drama, Kaalidhar Laapata. After months of speculation, the actor finally confirmed his involvement in the project.

Abhishek took to his Instagram to share an official poster of the upcoming film and announced in the caption, “Charchaao par ab full stop (Full stop to discussions now). Sometimes, getting lost isn’t a detour, it’s where the real story begins.”

He added, “Full of dreams, twists, and the people who make it worth it.” The actor further revealed Kaalidhar Laapata's release date and penned, “#KaalidharLaapata premieres 4th July, only on #ZEE5.”

In the first look poster of the upcoming emotional drama, Abhishek Bachchan is seen sitting on the branch of a tree with a young boy. They can be seen smiling and enjoying each other's company. Abhishek channelled a rugged look for his new film and sported a full beard. He wore a checkered shirt with white pants in the poster.

Kaalidhar Laapata also features Daivik Bhagela and Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles. The upcoming film is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the banners of Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment.

The emotional drama is said to be set against the backdrop of rural India and revolves around an ageing man who decides to elope after learning about his family's plan to abandon him.

However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Ballu, a lively eight-year-old orphan, who reignites Kaalidhar's passion for life with his infectious enthusiasm and curiosity. The two strangers unexpectedly start enjoying each other’s company and decide to take a road trip and several other adventures from their bucket list.
