British pop singer Jessie J has shared a deeply personal health update with her fans, revealing that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. In an emotional Instagram video posted on June 4, the 37-year-old artist opened up about the recent diagnosis and her decision to take a step back from her music career following her scheduled performance at the Summertime Ball on June 15.

Jessie, known for her powerful vocals and candid personality, addressed her followers with a mix of raw honesty and characteristic humor. “No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called ‘Living my breast life’?” she wrote. She also joked about the situation, saying, “It’s a very dramatic way to get a b*ob job.” Despite the levity, she acknowledged the emotional toll of the past two months. “This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on alongside it on the sidelines has given me the most incredible perspective. BUT… Your girl needs a hug.”

The “Price Tag” singer revealed that the diagnosis came just before the release of her recent song “No Secrets.” She emphasized the word “early” when speaking about her condition, highlighting the importance of early detection. “Cancer sucks in any form,” she said, “but I’m holding onto the word ‘early’.”

Jessie shared that she initially struggled with whether or not to make the news public. “I’ve been going back and forth about should I share it? I want to but there’s lots of opinions outside,” she explained. Ultimately, she chose transparency, citing the love and support of her fans as a key motivator.

Since the diagnosis, Jessie has undergone multiple rounds of tests and will soon have surgery. She stated that she’ll be “disappearing for a bit” to focus on her health and recovery. As always, she managed to lighten the mood by joking, “Also not getting massive tits. Or am I? No no… I must stop joking.”

Jessie J has been in a relationship with Danish-Israeli basketball player Chanan Colman since 2021. The couple welcomed their son in May 2023.

Despite the diagnosis, Jessie remains hopeful and determined to return stronger, with new music and her signature spirit.
