Actress Jasmin Bhasin broke down in an emotional interview with Siddharth Kannan as she remembered her deep bond with the late actor Sidharth Shukla. From their light-hearted moments on the sets of Dil Se Dil Tak to the haunting pain of losing a close friend without closure, Jasmin shared her heartfelt journey of grief, love, and lingering regret.
Jasmin fondly recalled their time together during Dil Se Dil Tak, where the duo formed a genuine friendship. “We were foodies,” she said with a teary smile. “Lunch breaks were our thing—we’d plan what to order from the nearby dhaba. He loved chicken Patiala.” Working together for over a year and a half, she added, “When you spend so much time with someone, they become your family.”
Sidharth's unwavering support during a challenging scene left a lasting impression on Jasmin. “I had a difficult scene early in my shoot, and he just stood there under the sun, motivating me,” she shared. “He never made me feel like I was a junior. That’s when I began truly respecting him.” His encouragement, she said, boosted her confidence as a newcomer.
“Sidharth was always that friend who showed up,” Jasmin said. “He knew how to give the right kind of love and respect. If something was wrong, he would speak up.” His warmth and honesty made him a rare presence in her life.
Reflecting on their final meeting during Bigg Boss, Jasmin said, “Our last chat was warm—we wished each other well. I thought we’d meet again, but then… the news came.”
“I never knew what a panic attack felt like until then,” she admitted. “The shock disturbed me deeply.” Overcome with emotion, she added, “It’s the guilt that still disturbs me. But I believe he’s happy wherever he is. He was too good of a soul.”
