The newest box office hit, Saiyyara, has been the subject of rumours in the entertainment industry due to its impressive box office performance as well as alleged behind-the-scenes casting.
Although debutant Ahaan Panday and up-and-coming talent Aneet Padda are currently receiving most of the attention, there has been a recent rumour that television actress Isha Malviya was initially selected as the female lead before allegedly being replaced. The assertion swiftly spread throughout fan accounts and entertainment websites, igniting contentious debates and piqueing internet users' interest.
Isha Malviya, who first gained notoriety for her parts in well-liked television dramas before making headlines for her appearance on Bigg Boss 17, has recently experienced a notable uptick in popularity. She further solidified her reputation in the public eye with her viral Marathi music video, Shaky.
In light of this, it did not seem unlikely that she would have been given consideration for a well-known Bollywood debut. She had even been cast for the part before Aneet Padda joined the cast during pre-production, according to some social media rumours.
However, Isha has now addressed the matter head-on — and with remarkable directness. Taking to her Instagram stories, she publicly called out the speculation: “What is wrong with the media pages? Kindly stop spreading fake news guys, movie tak baat pahuch gayi aur mujhe hi nahi pata (The word reached the movie and I wasn't even aware).”
Her pointed response not only dismissed the rumours outright but also highlighted the harm caused by unverified reporting. Interestingly, the actress later deleted the story, though it had already made the rounds online.

Meanwhile, Aneet Padda, who ultimately secured the role of Vaani opposite Ahaan Panday, has been receiving praise for her acting and screen presence. Initial murmurs linking her to industry figures such as filmmaker Nitya Mehra and actor Karan Kapadia have been firmly debunked, with reports clarifying that she is not a so-called “nepokid” but earned her break through talent and perseverance.
As Saiyyara continues to hold strong at the box office, Isha Malviya’s forthright response serves as a reminder of the need for accuracy in celebrity news. While she may not feature in the film, her composed yet firm handling of the misinformation makes clear she is not one to be easily overshadowed by idle gossip.
