History has been made in the K-pop world as Golden by the fictional group HUNTR/X becomes the first-ever song to surpass 900 Perfect All-Kills (PAKs). Voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, the track exploded in popularity following the release of K-Pop Demon Hunters on June 20. As of August 22, it has shattered all previous benchmarks, cementing a record that may remain unchallenged for years.

A Perfect All-Kill occurs when a song ranks No. 1 across all major South Korean daily and real-time music charts simultaneously—including Melon, Genie Music, YouTube Music, FLO, VIBE, and Bugs—as tracked by iChart. The metric has long been the gold standard for measuring dominance in the Korean music scene.

Before Golden’s rise, NewJeans’ Ditto held the crown with 655 PAKs since 2022, while BTS’ Dynamite followed with 610. Other standout tracks include IU’s Celebrity (462 in 2020), IVE’s I AM (359 in 2023), IU’s Love Wins All (339 in 2024), ZICO’s Any Song (330 in 2020), and aespa’s Supernova (317 in 2024). With its 900th hourly PAK, Golden has not only surpassed Ditto by nearly 260 but left the rest of the leaderboard far behind.

Some hailed it as “the greatest girl group song in history,” marveling at how a fictional act could outpace real-life legends like Blackpink, Aespa, and NewJeans.
