Preity Zinta also plays a significant role in this tale set against the backdrop of India’s Independence.

A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama stated, “Lahore 1947 is a film that celebrates India's Independence, and what better date to release it than August 15? The team is strongly considering this date, and an official announcement is expected soon.”
