X-Men actor Kelsey Grammer welcomes eighth child at age 70, announces birth of son Christopher

Actor Kelsey Grammer, known for his role as Dr. Hank McCoy in X-Men and as Frasier Crane on Cheers and Frasier, has welcomed his eighth child. He revealed on the Pod Meets World podcast that he and his wife Kayte Walsh recently had their fourth child together, a son named Christopher.

The X-Men actor, Kelsey Grammer, who is known for portraying the role of Dr Hank McCoy aka Beast, has recently announced the birth of his eighth child.

The actor made the big revelation while promoting Karen: A Brother Remembers, his upcoming memoir about his late sister Karen Grammer.

In a recent appearance on the Pod Meets World podcast, the 70-year-old Kelsey Grammer revealed that he recently welcomed his fourth child with his current spouse, making it his eighth child in total.

The actor said, “We just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids. It was like three days ago.”

The actor received wishes and congratulations from the hosts Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle.

Kelsey Grammer also revealed his eighth son’s name and announced, “Christopher has just joined the family.” “Welcome, Christopher,” Fishel responded.

According to the New York Post, the veteran actor is married to his current wife, Kayte Walsh. The couple has been married since 2011. They share three more children: Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8.

Before Kayte Walsh, Kelsey Grammar was married three times.

The veteran actor already shared daughter Spencer, who’s 42 years old, with his first wife, Doreen Alderman.

Meanwhile, he also shares Greer with his ex-girlfriend and Mason and Jude with his third wife, Camille Meyer.

Kelsey Grammer rose to stardom with his performance of psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane on the NBC sitcom Cheers (1984–1993) and its spin-off Frasier (1993–2004, and again from 2023 to 2024). The series ran for over two decades, making it one of the longest-running roles played by a single live-action actor in primetime television history.
