Rapper and record producer Sean 'Diddy' Combs is not expected to be released from prison soon. His release date from the federal prison has been postponed by almost a month.
The 56-year-old was originally set to be released on May 8, 2028, but is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey for his conviction on prostitution charges.
But as of right now, the Bureau of Prisons' website indicates that Diddy is now expected to release from the prison on June 4, 2028.
There was no immediate explanation for the change. However, expected release dates for prisoners frequently change, with time served and good behaviour accelerating releases.
The latest update came just days after Diddy’s attorney refuted a report alleging that the founder of Bad Boy Records, who has been behind bars since September 2024, had created and consumed alcohol in prison.
According to the USA Today, a spokesperson for Fort Dix said, "We have no knowledge of this information. Further, we would not be able to disclose any information pertaining to internal inmate matters. It would not be public information.”
Prior to his sentencing, Diddy wrote a letter to the judge claiming that he had become sober "for the first time in 25 years," that he had been going to therapy. He also claimed that he had initiated a mentorship program for his fellow prisoners.

Diddy's lawyers plan to appeal his conviction, according to a notice of appeal filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Oct. 20.
The rapper continues to face up to 70 civil lawsuits nationwide, despite his denial of any sexual misconduct allegations.
