In a moment that caught fans and media by surprise, Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour shared a warm reunion on the red carpet at the world premiere of Stranger Things 5 in Los Angeles. The pair, who portray the beloved father-daughter duo Eleven and Jim Hopper, appeared cheerful and comfortable together, smiling, laughing, and posing for photographs despite recent reports of an alleged off-screen rift.
The event, held on November 6 at the TCL Chinese Theatre, marked the beginning of the farewell celebrations for the Netflix sci-fi juggernaut’s final season. Netflix even amplified the moment, and posted a clip of their arrival on social media with the caption, “David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown arrive together for one last Stranger Things premiere (sic).”
So far, neither Netflix nor representatives for either actor have publicly commented on the alleged inquiry. Reports also suggested that Millie, who recently married Jake Bongiovi, had a representative present on set during filming for her comfort and safety.
Despite the speculation, Millie and David appeared at ease with each other during the premiere.
The two have shared a close working bond since the series debuted in 2016, when Millie was just 11 years old. David once reflected on their dynamic in a 2016 podcast, saying, “Millie and I have always had a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young. I knew her before any of this big fame hit.”

Millie Bobby Brown has similarly spoken about their connection, describing it as a “father-daughter” bond. “We went through so many different emotions — we get angry at each other, we are like father and daughter,” she said during a 2018 panel, calling their work together “raw and real.”
Stranger Things 5 is set to premiere on Netflix in multiple parts — Vol 1 arrives on November 26, 2025, followed by Vol 2 on Christmas Day.
