In a deeply emotional moment on the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian opened up about being hurt by allegations from her then-husband Kanye West, who reportedly claimed that she “faked” her 2016 robbery in Paris.
Kim, 45, recalled the robbery night — when masked men held her at gunpoint and stole more than US $10 million in jewelry from her hotel suite — and described how hearing her ex accuse her of turning that traumatic experience into a TV stunt cut deeper than the original terror.
“My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” she said, her voice breaking. “That was a knife to my heart.”
The betrayal was compounded by the fact that at the time, Kanye and Kim were married, a relationship that ended in divorce in 2021.
What began as an effort by Kanye to cancel a New York concert mid-show after learning of the robbery, citing a “family emergency,” eventually came apart under the weight of doubt and disbelief around what happened.
Nearly ten years later, in 2025, Kim returned to Paris to testify in the criminal trial against those accused of the robbery. Faced with her aggressors and their apologies, she used the moment to reject the skeptics — especially those who questioned her version of events. “See, guys? It was real,” she said, as she choked back tears.
When she returned to her hotel after the nearly six-hour testimony, Kim told Kris, 70, that the experience "changed my life for the better."

“I wanted to say that [during the testimony], and I thought my attorneys were gonna kill me," she told her mom. "They’d lose it if I said that. Said, ‘Thank you for doing this to me.’"
New episodes of The Kardashians premiere Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
