Canadian actor Spencer Lofranco, best known for Gotti, dies at 33

His brother, Santino Lofranco confirmed the news of his death with an emotional post on Instagram on November 20 (Thursday).

Canadian actor Spencer Lofranco, best known for his roles in films like Gotti and Jamesy Boy, has passed away at the age of 33.

According to TMZ, the authorities of British Columbia, Canada are currently investigating Spencer's death. However, the cause of his demise has not been found yet.

His brother, Santino Lofranco confirmed the news of his death with an emotional post on Instagram on November 20 (Thursday). He shared a series of nostalgic childhood pictures with Spencer as he paid tribute to him.

His post read, “To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.”

Spencer’s final Instagram post, shared on Nov. 11, was a black-and-white selfie with a caption that read, “I’m getting my face tatoo burned out so subscribe to my only fans. Period the best is yet to come. The hair is on it way it’s got held up customs. Crazy.”

His last appearance on the big screen was in the 2018 Kevin Connolly–directed crime thriller Gotti, where he played John Gotti Jr. alongside John Travolta as John Gotti Sr. and Kelly Preston as DiGiorgio Gotti.

Over the course of his career, Spencer appeared in seven films, beginning with the 2013 romantic comedy At Middleton, starring Andy Garcia, Vera Farmiga, and Taissa Farmiga.

He also featured in Angelina Jolie’s 2014 war drama Unbroken and the 2015 short film Home. Reflecting on the experience of working with Jolie, Spencer had once said, "Growing up, Angelina Jolie was my dream girl. Now I’m going to shoot a movie with her. It’s crazy. I tell people and they’re like, ‘Yeah… OK.’ They don’t even believe me.”

News of his untimely death has led to an outpouring of condolences and heartfelt messages from industry colleagues and fans, many of whom expressed shock and grief at the loss.
