Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are gearing up for their highly anticipated film, Wicked: For Good. The actors have become BFFs while working on the set, and to make their friendship stronger, they have inked matching tattoos.
Ariana took to her Instagram and shared behind-the-scenes from the set of the Wicked sequel and revealed that they now have a permanent bond.
Ariana, 32, wrote that she was counting down the days until the release of For Good, the follow-up and continuation of 2024's Wicked, in an Instagram post shared on Saturday, November 1.
The songstress wrote in the caption, “Happy wicked month @wickedmovie 20 days.” The post included a picture of Ariana and Cynthia, 38, on set and a picture of their hands that showed they had matching "For Good" tattoos inked on their palms.
The pop star and the Tony winner, who play Galinda and Elphaba, respectively, have formed a very close bond while starring in the Broadway musical adaptation of Wicked, according to the cast and crew of the show.
About Wicked: For Good
Wicked: For Good picks up after Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba is labelled the Wicked Witch of the West. On the run, she fights for Oz’s silenced Animals. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande’s Glinda basks in her new role as the dazzling symbol of Goodness in Emerald City.
Director Jon M. Chu once again leads the charge, with a screenplay adapted by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The film follows the blockbuster Wicked: Part 1, which shattered records in 2024 and bagged two Oscars from ten nominations at the 2025 Academy Awards.
The sequel also features Bowen Yang, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode, alongside cameos of the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow.
Wicked: For Good will release in the theatres worldwide on November 21, 2025.
