Harshvardhan Rane is currently riding high on the success of the re-release of his 2016 film, Sanam Teri Kasam. The film has broken all the box-office records. However, the recent reports have suggested that the actor may return to the big screen soon.
According to Filmfare report, Harshvardhan is in the talks to play the main antagonist in the Saif Ali Khan starrer film, Race 4. A source revealed to the outlet, “Harsh's stupendous success with the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has paid rich dividends.”
The source continued, “He's not been finalized yet, but chances are this casting coup will come to fruition.”
However, there’s no official confirmation of the casting of the film. Meanwhile, there were earlier rumors that Sidharth Malhotra might also be part of the film.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, writer Shiraz Ahmed revealed that the fourth installment of the Race franchise was scheduled to start production in January 2025. Shiraz also mentioned that the script and casting for Race 4 were almost complete.

He confirmed that Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra were on board, and the remaining cast members would be officially announced by the filmmakers soon.
Race 4 returns to the same universe as the first two films in the franchise. The new movie will pick up where those films left off, continuing the story and characters from the earlier installments.
Meanwhile, Harshvardhan Rane was last seen in The Miranda Brothers alongside Milap Zaveri. He will next star in the upcoming musical love story, Deewaniyat. The film is slated to release in 2025.
