Recently there were several speculations about actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja reportedly heading for a divorce. These rumours, however, were put to rest by Sunita later as she denied them. Now in her latest interview, Sunita opened up about their divorce rumours again.
During an interview with Times Now, Sunita emphasized that Govinda will not leave his family for a 'stupid person'. She said, "Jis din confirm hoga, ya mere aur Govinda ke mu se aap log sunoge, vo alag baat hai. But I don’t think Govinda can live without me, nor can I live without Govinda. And Govinda can never leave his family for any stupid person or stupid woman (The day it is confirmed or if you hear it from me and Govinda then it is different.)
She went on to say that people should verify the truth before spreading any rumours. She firmly stated that she would never accept such claims and challenged anyone with the courage to confront her directly.
"Just because someone spreads a rumour, you start agreeing with it — that’s not right. If anything like this ever happens, I’ll be the first to come forward and speak to the media. But I truly believe that God will never break my home," she added.

The divorce rumours of Sunita and Govinda started doing rounds on the internet after Sunita had once mentioned in an interview that they were living separately and for the past 12 years she celebrated her birthdays alone. However, the couple has time and again denied all the rumours.
For those unaware, Govinda met Sunita when he was pursuing B.Com and the latter was studying in class 9. They couple later got married in 1986 discretely and kept their marriage a secret for four years. They have two children- son Yashvardhan Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja.
