Govinda’s secretary Shashi Sinha is alive, dismisses death rumours, says, "receiving numerous condolence messages"

Govinda’s current secretary, Shashi Sinha, recently dismissed false reports of his death, clarifying that he is ‘fit and fine.’ The confusion arose when news spread that “Govinda’s secretary” had passed away, leading many to assume it was Sinha. However, he clarified that it was actually Govinda’s former secretary and close friend, Shashi Prabhu, who had passed away.

On Thursday, reports of Shashi Sinha’s death went viral, causing an outpouring of condolence messages and calls. Addressing these rumors, Sinha stated, “I have been receiving numerous condolence messages and calls on my phone since the false news of my death circulated.”

He reassured everyone that he was in good health and dismissed the confusion, which stemmed from the similarity in names between him and Govinda’s former secretary, Shashi Prabhu.

Shashi Prabhu had been closely associated with Govinda in the past, serving as his secretary during the time of the film Ilzaam. Following Prabhu’s tenure, Shashi Sinha took over these responsibilities. Speaking about Prabhu, Sinha said, “Shashi Prabhu ji was very close to Govinda and was like his brother.”

Apart from addressing the death hoax, Sinha also clarified recent rumors about Govinda’s personal life. Reports had been circulating that Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, were heading for separation. However, Sinha denied these claims, stating, “Right now, the news is being spread all over the place. So, we are keeping an eye on it. Yes, she has sent a legal notice in the court. I am aware of that. But there is no concrete matter as to what it is. The legal notice hasn’t yet reached us.”

Shashi Sinha also pointed out that there has been continuous speculation about Govinda’s personal and professional life, adding, “You must have seen that something or the other has been coming up. This or that. Sunita ji has said something or other about Govinda ji. She said she taught him acting or dance.”

Having managed Govinda’s professional affairs for years, Sinha has played a significant role in shaping the actor’s career trajectory. In addition to Govinda, he has also handled work for several Bollywood celebrities, including Aamir Khan, Ayesha Jhulka, and Sangeeta Bijlani.
