The makers have officially announced both the title and release date of the next installment in the Godzilla x Kong franchise.
The film, titled Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, will be directed by Grant Sputore, best known for his work on I Am Mother. This highly anticipated sequel is set to arrive in theatres on March 26, 2027.

Golden Globe nominee Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens (who is returning as Trapper from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire), Jack O'Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill are among the cast members of the upcoming film, which is directed by Grant Sputore of I Am Mother and written by Dave Callaham.

In 2014, Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, marked the beginning of Legendary's MonsterVerse franchise. In addition to Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla vs. Kong, the franchise also ventured into animation with the Skull Island series, which made its Netflix debut in 2023.
