Kashmiri actress Hina Khan paid tribute to the Indian Armed Forces after Operation Sindoor, joining many celebrities in honoring their efforts. She expressed a desire for peace but affirmed that India had to act in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Despite her respectful tribute, Hina faced a wave of online abuse and hate from some followers.

Actress Hina Khan, who hails from Kashmir, joined several celebrities in paying tribute to the Indian Armed Forces following Operation Sindoor. Expressing her hope for peace amid rising India-Pakistan tensions, she emphasized that while India did not seek conflict, the nation was compelled to respond after the terror attack in Pahalgam.

Despite her respectful tribute, Hina faced a wave of online abuse and hate from some followers. Undeterred, she took to social media to reaffirm her stance and stand by her words.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Hina Khan wrote, "All the hate, abuse, alienation from across the border. After supporting my Country before and after Operation Sindoor: Many of you abused me, cursed me, Many have unfollowed me, Many more threatening to unfollow me. This threat is accompanied by Abuses, Salacious and Demeaning Hate directed not just to me but to my Medical Condition, My Family and even my Faith. I don’t expect you to support my country."

She urged those who abuse her to stop showing support and to unfollow her if they wish. She further wrote, "You support yours that’s ok, I don’t expect you to understand the nuances beyond the mutual alienations. I only hoped that you will conduct yourself at least as humanly as I have been towards you all. But I Guess, that’s the Difference. I am not Anything if I am not an Indian. I will always be an Indian, First. So, Go Ahead. UNFOLLOW ME. I Don’t Care. I did not abuse or curse any of you.. I only supported my country.."

Hina Khan's message emphasizes that one's words, choices, and actions during difficult times reflect their true character and beliefs, and despite any criticism, she will always stand by her country.

"What you say defines you. What you choose defines your ideology. How you act in tough times shows your depth as a Human Being. It has nothing to do with Me.

No matter what, I will support my country. Jai Hind" she concluded her post.

On Friday May 9, Hina shared a note on her Instagram Stories clarified that she stands in support of the Indian army but added that she also hopes for peace.

He post read, “No one wins in a war. No one. Innocents die on both sides. Praying for the frontliners. We didn’t want war before Pahalgam, we don’t want it now… Butttt our people were killed, our response was important, precise and non-escalatory. We don’t promote violence… And I know all of us eventually prefer peace. As much as I stand with my country to eradicate terrorism… I also wish and pray for de-escalation Jai Hind."

Apart from Hina, several television actors such as Aly Gony, Rupali Ganguly, Isha Malviya, Avinash Mishra among others showed their support to Operation Sindoor.
