JR NTR turns 42

Jr. NTR, known for his massive stardom and jaw-dropping physical transformation, was once massively trolled for his physique. The actor celebrates his 42nd birthday today and let us take a look at how he looked at the beginning of his career and now, how he is one of the fittest actors we see.

Jr NTR is one of the most celebrated Nepo kids from Tollywood coming from a prestigious filmy background has its perks and disadvantages.

Making a name for yourself belonging to a filmy family is very risky and the pressure is unbeatable but the young tiger had the magic and aura as an actor to pull huge crowds to the screens and make him a fan. He who is now celebrated and appreciated for his looks and fitness was once heavily trolled for the same.

Let's look at his journey from fat to fit:

The beginning of fat to fit

NTR began his journey in films with S. S. Rajamouli for his directorial debut, Student No: 1 (2001).

NTR began his career in films as a child artist and when he debuted he was slightly overweight.

Though he was appreciated for his acting skills, fans began trolling him for his weight and even claimed he was ‘too ugly’ to be a mainstream hero.

Many criticized his looks back then and also body shamed and trolled him.

Despite being trolled he proved that all you need is the power to pull off any performance, looks and physique are secondary.

Despite all this, Jr NTR shined like a star, especially in 2004, when he proved his stardom is beyond everything and anything when his film Andhrawala was released.

The film witnessed the first-ever large audio launch and over 10 lakh people marked their attendance proving that to be a star you don't need six-pack abs but the aura and trust within people.

But again in 2006, his film Rakhi was a low point for him physically as he was criticized a lot for his weight there.

Right after this in 2007 he lost 20kgs and attained a much leaner physique and he continued to surprise fans with an even greater transformation in 2013 for the film Badshah.

Who inspired NTR for his transformation journey?

Did you know that during the filming of SS Rajamouli's film Yamadonga Rama Rajamouli who was also the costume designer for this film inspired Jr. NTR for his physical transformation?

Tarak underwent liposuction to lose weight for his movie Yama Donga. NTR then completely transformed himself to become one of the fittest actors in the Telugu film industry.

After Yamadonga, his transformation went on to peak with films like Shakti 2012, and Temper broke all the stereotypes of the actor not being a fit-looking actor on screen as his six-pack abs look was the most talked about during 2015.

The actor was on a spree with inspiring people for his looks and beard and he was yet again impressed with his makeover for 2016's film Nannaku Prematho.

The man who was once trolled and labelled the fattest actor in Tollywood became one of the fittest actors in Tollywood.
