PVR INOX has been at the forefront of making cinema accessible to everyone. As part of their commitment to inclusivity, they have introduced various measures to ensure that individuals with disabilities can enjoy the magic of cinema.

As front-runners in championing inclusivity, we have introduced a range of measures to ensure that every individual, regardless of their abilities, can fully enjoy the magic of cinema."

PVR INOX has implemented various initiatives to enhance accessibility, including wheelchair access, assistive technologies like audio descriptions and captions, and sensory-friendly screenings. Their cinemas are equipped with specialized infrastructure, such as assistive listening devices and captions for films.

In 2018, PVR INOX launched the #Cinema4All initiative, a nationwide effort aimed at improving accessibility for both elderly and differently-abled individuals. This initiative has played a key role in enhancing the cinema experience for all, ensuring patrons have access to comfortable seating, subtitled shows, and assistance-enabled seats.

PVR INOX's accessibility strategy is divided into content-dependent and infrastructure-dependent initiatives. Content-dependent initiatives include audio descriptions for visually impaired patrons and captions for the hearing-impaired. Infrastructure-dependent initiatives include wheelchair access, ambient adjustments, and SANO PTR ramps.

The company has made significant progress in creating accessible cinema environments. Currently, 224 out of 356 cinemas (63%) are accessible, with 1,012 out of 1,742 (58%) auditoriums being accessible-friendly. Over 1,800 wheelchair seats are available, and 345 cinemas are wheelchair-friendly.

PVR INOX's efforts have had a significant impact, with over 2,500 individuals with accessibility needs visiting 60 cinemas over the past three months. The company remains committed to continually improving accessibility in cinema, ensuring that every individual feels included and valued.
