India's recent military response to the Pahalgam terror attack has drawn widespread support from the Indian film industry, with several leading celebrities voicing their solidarity with the armed forces.

The counter-strike mission, code-named Operation Sindoor, was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday and reportedly targeted nine terror camps located across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to official sources, the operation led to the deaths of over 80 terrorists through a series of coordinated and precision airstrikes. As details of the strikes emerged, social media was flooded with messages of support and patriotic sentiment from Bollywood actors, directors, and other entertainment figures.

Chiranjeevi, a megastar in Indian cinema, shared a powerful image from the Indian Army depicting the name Operation Sindoor written in vermillion—a symbol of sacrifice and devotion. Accompanying the image, he wrote simply: "Jai Hind."

Akshay Kumar also took to Twitter to support the operation, writting, "Jai Hind Jai Mahakaal"
He also shared the picture of the operation.

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal also responded to the operation on X (formerly Twitter), joining a growing list of voices backing the military action.

Anupam Kher, who has consistently supported the armed forces in public forums, posted: "Bharat Mata Ki Jai #OperationSindoor."

Actress Nimrat Kaur used the now widely-shared Operation Sindoor visual and wrote: "United with our forces. One country. One mission #JaiHind #OperationSindoor."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar expressed unity with the military, stating: "Our prayers are with our forces. One nation, together we stand. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram."

As per PTI, In retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba's base in Muridke.

In a statement following the precision strikes, the ministry of defence said that as many as 9 sites were attacked by India and no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.

"Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted. Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution. These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable. There will be detailed briefing on ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, later today," the ministry of defence said.
