From a junior artist to lead actor in Phantom Films' Laikey Laikaa, life comes a full circle for Abhay Verma

Abhay Verma and Rasha Thadani to star in Laikey Laikaa

Abhay Verma, who is known for his role in Munjya, has recently bagged a milestone in his career. He will star in Phantom Films production’s new project, Laikey Laikaa, in the lead role. He will star alongside Rasha Thadani.

The duo was recently spotted together after their acting workshop for Laikey Laikaa.

Abhay has previously worked with Phantom Films as a junior artist on the sets of Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur's starrer film, Super 30. However, bagging a lead role in the film with the production house is a full-circle moment for the actor.

Phantom Films announced the news on their official social media handles with a video of Abhay and Rasha. The video was accompanied by the caption that reads, "She’s the chaos. He’s the calm. Or is it the other way around? Get ready for #LaikeyLaikaa in theatres, Summer 2026!"

However, Abhay also talked about his upcoming project and shared, “Laikey and Laikaa is a story about two people caught up in a different world.” He also teased that the upcoming film will feature many exciting surprises.

Abhay then opened up about sharing a screen space with Rasha and noted, “It's too early to say anything but we are looking forward to making people feel something and it's a story about two people caught up in the world.”

Laikey Laikaa is scheduled to hit the theatres in Summer 2026.

He also reflected on his journey and shared, “Life has come to a full circle, I used to secretly watch Hrithik sir perform in Super 30, when I was a junior artist, I wish with Laikey Laikaa I will be someone’s reason who feels closer to their dream.”

The actor continued, “Beyond that, I hope this journey becomes an answer to all the questions that young aspiring actors have whether their dreams will come true or not or if they will get accepted in industry or not, I will be fortunate if my journey from a jr artist to leading a film at Phantom studios is considered as an answer to the questions of all the aspiring actors and bring them closer to their dreams.”

Abhay Verma has starred in movies like Mann Bairagi, Uljhe Hue, Ae Watan Mere Watan, and Safed, among others. However, he rose to stardom with his latest horror comedy Munjya, in which he starred with Sharvari. He has some exciting projects in his pipeline. He will star in Siddharth Anand's highly anticipated King with Shah Rukh Khan. He is also slated to star in Sujat Saudagar's JC.
