Farhan Akhtar gives update on his upcoming films

Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has been surrounded by speculation, with many reports suggesting delays following the film’s announcement. However, the filmmaker and producer has now cleared the air, confirming that the movie is proceeding as planned.

In a recent conversation Farhan dismissed any concerns about postponements and assured fans that the project is on track. He also mentioned that Don 3 will be kicking off this year, with Ranveer Singh leading the cast, alongside Kiara Advani in the female lead role. Fans can rest easy knowing the much-awaited sequel is moving forward as anticipated.

While talking to India Today Digital, Akhtar addressed the growing speculation about the film’s schedule, clarifying that Don 3 will begin this year. “I am not dodging any questions. Don 3 is starting this year, and 120 Bahadur will release at the end of the year,” he assured, putting fans' concerns to rest.

The much-awaited sequel to the Don franchise will see Farhan Akhtar in the director's seat once again, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the iconic role of Don. Kiara Advani will play the female lead in the film, a casting choice that has garnered excitement among fans.

When asked about the much-anticipated project Jee Le Zaraa, which was initially announced with an all-star cast featuring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, Farhan acknowledged that the film’s timeline had not been finalised.

He shared, “Many dates have to be coordinated. That’s perhaps for another time.” This response left fans hopeful but uncertain about when they can expect the film to move forward.

Apart from Don 3, Farhan Akhtar's production venture, Superboys of Malegaon, is all set to hit theatres on February 28. Directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan.

Superboys of Malegaon is a collaboration between powerhouse producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti, under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby.
