One of Bollywood’s most beloved choreographers, Geeta Kapur celebrated her 52nd birthday on July 5, and close friend Farah Khan made sure it was a special one.
Farah hosted a late birthday lunch for Geeta and posted a humorous video to Instagram of the choreographer slicing birthday brownies while everyone sang "Happy Birthday."
The video also showed off the extravagant spread, emphasising the close relationship and joy the two of them shared during the festivities.
She wrote in the caption, "Happy birthday @geeta_kapurofficial .. tho it was on the 5th of July.. but u were Awol god knows with whom?? lov u baby."
Fondly known as Geeta Maa by her students and fans alike, Geeta Kapur’s journey in the entertainment industry is one of passion, perseverance, and talent.
She began her career as a background dancer and, with perseverance and hard work, worked her way up. In her formative years, she worked closely with renowned choreographer and director Farah Khan on a number of classic Bollywood productions, such as Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mohabbatein, and Kal Ho Naa Ho, where she developed her skills behind the camera.
With her iconic dance sequences in films like Fiza, Asoka, Saathiya, Heyy Babyy, and Tees Maar Khan, Geeta eventually rose to prominence and became a well-known choreographer in her own right. She received praise from the industry for her choreography, which was renowned for fusing technical skill with emotion.
