Exclusive: Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara gets a new release date

The film has Trisha playing the leading lady and the duo has teamed up once again after 18 long years.

Megastar Chiranjeevi's socio-fantasy backdrop film Vishwambhara has already been quite delayed on several occasions. This is mainly because of the work that involves visual effects. The movie initially is going for a Sankranthi 2025 release. However, the film was pushed up to May 2025 and now according to our sources, the again.

We have exclusively learnt that Vishwambhara is now aiming for a July 25th release. The film has Trisha playing the leading lady and the duo has teamed up once again after 18 long years.

The delays in Vishwambhara are mainly due to the complex VFX work needed for its socio-fantasy theme. To improve the visuals, a new VFX team with experience on big projects was brought in. However, reports suggest the VFX effects are still not coordinated well and are leading to repeated postponements.

This lack of planning is affecting the film’s schedule. Also, this may even impact the overall buzz. Fans are eagerly waiting but constant delays are reducing excitement. The makers now need to speed up the process and maintain quality to keep the hype alive ahead of the newly expected July 2025 release.

Despite these setbacks, Chiranjeevi is committed to maintaining a steady workflow. He has scheduled his next project which is a comedy entertainer directed by Anil Ravipudi. This film is expected to commence in May 2025. The film is planned to be shot within 90 days targeting a release during the Sankranthi festival in January 2026.

Additionally, Chiranjeevi has greenlit another project with director Srikanth Odela known for his work on Dasara. Details about this film are yet to be announced, but it's expected to showcase Chiranjeevi in a new light.

Fans eagerly await Vishwambhara, which features Trisha Krishnan, Kunal Kapoor, and Ashika Ranganath in prominent roles. The film's music is composed by M. M. Keeravani.
