Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 introduced several new characters to its gripping storyline, and one standout addition was Esha Gupta as Sonia, a sharp and confident brand-building expert. Released in 2022, the series continued its successful run on OTT, earning praise for its performances and bold storytelling. In a throwback interview, Esha candidly shared her views on filming intimate scenes, especially with Bobby Deol, the show’s lead star.

In her conversation with Bollywood Life, Esha addressed the topic of filming bold scenes in the show and emphasized that it was not an issue for her. She remarked,
“There's nothing about being comfortable or uncomfortable when you have worked for like 10 years in the industry. People think intimacy is a problem but it's not, unless and until it's a problem in your real life. We are very open about it.”

Esha further elaborated on how different scenes bring different challenges. While intimacy on screen might have been daunting in her early days, she noted that working with experienced professionals made the process smoother. She highlighted that actors must bring authenticity to every scene—whether it’s emotional, action-packed, or romantic. Speaking about the portrayal of intimacy in films versus OTT platforms, she said that the latter often includes less than what’s shown in mainstream cinema.

When asked about her experience working opposite Bobby Deol in such sequences, Esha shared,
“I am sure Bobby must have been intimate in his life before.”

She added that Bobby was perfectly comfortable with the scenes and understood their importance to the narrative.

“It is important for the lust or love to be visible, depending on what the scene demands,” Esha explained, hoping that the chemistry they shared on screen resonated with the audience.
